Our underground utility surveys are carried out using C.A.T
(C.A.T: Cable avoidance tool) & Genny equipment.
A site grid would be used to locate any buried
services, utilising all three mode for peace of mind.
With the equipment, we can detect and locate
a range of underground utilities; BT cables, TV cables, Electrical
cables etc. NOTE: None metallic pipes can not be traced using
the equipment (i.e. plastic pipes etc.)
Underground drainage can also be traced with
the aide of a sonde transmitter. This would be attached to
a reel and then fed down the drainage run and be detected
and traced above ground using the C.A.T, marking the ground
at regular intervals, picking up any change in direction.
Pipe sizes can also be provided, which are measured from the
surface.
With the location of all services traced and
marked on the ground surface, we can then tie in all the relevant
services information to our Topographical/GPS surveys, giving
an accurate and up to date site plan.
